Nigel has more than twenty years experience in health protection, high technology and the not-for-profit sectors. He is a highly flexible and energetic business executive who can lead from the front in almost any situation. Nigel has recently undertaken Business Process reviews for the HPA and European Commission and prior to that he held Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director roles in two start-up companies. His particular strengths are in building and reviewing service organisations and has directed £multi-million projects for various blue-chip clients. Nigel holds an MBA from Cranfield University. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Polar Moment Group.
Jacqueline Johnson North Harshad Sodha - Director, Association for Clinical Data Management Jacqueline is a Director of Dovetail and has been helping organisations to get the best out of their people for more than 14 years. She is experienced in designing and managing projects throughout Europe, Africa, USA, South America and the Middle East. Jacqueline has worked mainly with pharmaceutical, clinical research, new technology and not-for-profit organisations, but has also worked within a wide variety of other sectors. Jacqueline's recent assignments include designing and delivering of leadership skills programmes for the NHS; working with the exec team of a leading pharmaceutical company to facilitate setting of vision, values and strategy; delivering project management workshops for clinical research project managers in India; and chairing and setting the strategic direction of the training committee of a clinical research membership organisation. Jacqueline is a Licentiate Member of the CIPD (LCIPD), a Certified Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (CPNLP) and GHR registered occupational hypnotherapist (GHR Reg, GQHP, CMH, DHyp). She is accredited to use Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and Hay Group's Inventory of Leadership Styles (ILS). Martin is a Director of Dovetail and has over 15 year’s international experience in training and organisational development. He joined Dovetail from the Institute of Clinical Research where he managed the Institute’s programme of training courses. Martin’s skills include Project Management coaching and training, helping organisations identify and meet the learning needs of their staff, and facilitating process improvement. Most of Martin’s career has been in the pharmaceutical and clinical research sector and he has also worked in medical diagnostics and fine chemical production. He has first hand experience of clinical trial project management and has been involved in the set up of new clinical research business ventures. Martin has worked with a wide variety of clients in Europe, USA, India and Australia; including pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies and non-commercial organisations. Some of Martin's previous projects include setting up and managing a new business venture for a European periapproval clinical group; project managing one of the first ever SAMM studies in the UK; writing project management competencies; training and supporting the development of coaches; providing career advice to university students; and developing induction programmes. Martin has written publications on project management; writing skills; careers in clinical research; and co-authored a book on risk management. Stella Smith Stella is a practical and results-focused specialist. She has a passion for improving organisational effectiveness through strengthening management knowledge and skills. A creative facilitator with excellent strategic review, planning and change management skills. Stella has significant experience of working across the corporate and not-for-profit sectors in the UK and overseas. She is skilled at developing programmes to inspire individuals, supporting them to re-examine their habits, so as to reduce stress and maximise personal and team performance. She has excellent analytical skills and significant experience of facilitating business planning, strategic analysis and change management projects. Some of Stella's recent assignments include designing and facilitating a strategy programme to support the collaboration of six overseas agencies exploring common aims and shared approaches to work in Africa; developing and delivering a programme of training for voluntary sector infrastructure staff on strategy, change management and effective communication skills; facilitating management training courses in topics including executive management skills, influencing and negotiating, consulting and facilitation skills for a large international corporation, designing and delivering a series of planning, strategy and change workshops for the CEO and Senior Managers. Stella has an MBA and is an Associate Lecturer for the Open University Business School. She is currently studying for an MSc in Mindfulness Based Approaches. She also has a Diploma in Life Coaching and is a volunteer Refugee Mentor for the Time Together mentoring scheme and a trustee of the Greenleaf Centre for Servant-Leadership UK. Sharon Torpey
